Editorial Work

Stories about design, space and the ways we live

As former Editor of OnOffice magazine (print and digital) and current Editor & Brand Director of the healthy homes platform WLLW, I explore the relationship between design, wellbeing and the environments we create.

Drawing on more than two decades in design practice, my editorial work brings a grounded understanding of how spaces are created, detailed and experienced. Through essays, interviews and long-form storytelling, I examine the ideas, materials and people shaping contemporary design.

During my time at OnOffice, I led editorial exploring wellbeing in designed spaces, including producing a dedicated wellbeing print issue that examined how architecture and interiors can support healthier ways of living.

Editorial Direction

Alongside my writing, I develop and lead editorial ideas exploring the relationship between design, wellbeing and the built environment. This includes researching themes, shaping story concepts, commissioning contributors and developing the visual direction.

Selected editorial concepts developed for WLLW include:

The Wellbeing Issue – OnOffice 162 (Spring 2023)

While Editor of OnOffice, I produced a dedicated print issue exploring the relationship between design, nature and wellbeing.

Issue 162 examined how the natural world influences the spaces we design and inhabit. The issue explored themes including natural materials, craftsmanship and biophilic design, alongside projects and places that reconnect people with nature - from visits with local makers to a feature on London’s tallest timber building and alpine environments shaped by the surrounding landscape. Through the issue, I explored how architecture and interiors can support healthier ways of living by bringing the qualities of the natural world both into our buildings and back into daily life.

The issue also introduced a redesigned cover format for the magazine, that I created during my time as editor. For the launch cover, I developed the concept of placing a single chair within a Canadian forest – a nod to both nature and her homeland – commissioning visual artist Karim Nabil to bring the idea to life.
