What is Wellness Design?
Wellness design is the practice of creating spaces that nurture physical, mental and emotional health. Kaye’s approach draws on seven pillars that shape a more supportive, intentional experience of home.
FOUNDATIONAL ELEMENTS
Air, water, temperature and acoustics form the base of a healthy home.
Good air quality, clean water, balanced temperature and considered sound create comfort, clarity and calm — the essential conditions for wellbeing.
LIGHT
Light guides the rhythm of our days. Generous daylight, thoughtful artificial lighting and soft evening illumination support energy, mood and restorative sleep.
SPACE
Space influences how we move, rest and connect. Supportive layouts balance openness with intimacy, creating intuitive flow and a sense of emotional safety.
MATERIALS
Natural materials bring honesty and calm. Timber, wool, linen, stone and clay support healthier indoor air and offer tactile warmth that enriches the everyday.
OBJECTS
Objects shape the emotional landscape of home. Pieces chosen with intention — handcrafted, meaningful or vintage — bring comfort, memory and clarity to a space.
NATURE
Connection to nature restores balance. Plants, natural textures, views outside and seasonal cues reduce stress and create connection.
MIND
A healthy home supports emotional wellbeing. Rituals, sensory ease and spaces designed for rest and self-expression help us feel anchored, restored and fully ourselves.
